Peter Rosselli

President

Peter Rosselli has been specializing in Authentic Expressiveness, Communication Skills, and Somatic Awareness Development for over 20 years. He has coached thousands of people in preparing for a variety of critical presentations, interviews, and challenging interactions, and has personally conducted hundreds of skills development programs.

Prior to forming IE, Peter managed the curriculum for Decker Communications, Inc. There he developed programs in Presentation Skills, Press and Media Training, Message Development, Interaction Skills, and Customer Service, which involved training a staff of 35 consultants to deliver these programs internationally. He has consulted for ChangeWorks Solutions, assisting organizations in their transition through dramatic change. He served as a consultant with KCR Communications and The Negotiating Edge Seminars, Cor Communications LLC, and is a senior consultant with Effective Training Associates.

Peter's focus as a consultant and coach centers on the connections between spiritual, artistic, and expressive communication principles. This perspective originates in his background as an expressive artist. He has spent an entire lifetime studying the expressive arts beginning with music studies at age 6. He took his graduate studies in Counseling and Movement Psychology at JFK University. He conducted workshops in improvisational movement and theater beginning in 1985, wrote the musical score for the San Francisco comedy play Bar None, and performed with the Motivity Dance Company and 3rd Moon Ballet of San Francisco. In addition to several years of training in personality and social styles, he has studied Buddhist meditation practices for over twenty years. All of these experiences have of course influenced the direction of his life, as well as the values he holds in working with people.

As an educator, Peter has taught classes at Stanford University, UC Berkeley, and Holy Names College in Oakland, Ca. He was a guest lecturer for the National Technological University, and teaches sponsored courses for the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers. Peter works internationally in a variety of industries, with organizations ranging from Fortune 500 companies to small non-profits.

Karen Roeper Karen Roeper

Co-Founder

Karen Roeper is a counselor, trainer, somatic coach and educator. Her lifelong passion has been to explore the relationships between body and emotions, the mind, and Spirit.

Karen created and developed Essential Motion, an intensive personal transformation process which focuses on cultivating and integrating mental, emotional, and particularly somatic (physical) intelligence. She has conducted seminars both nationally and internationally for over eighteen years, and currently conducts two and four-year Essential Motion leadership certification courses in the U.S. and Sweden. She is also a consultant for the ED/Trauma Center at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Santa Rosa.

Karen holds a Masters in Counseling and Dance Therapy, is a Rosen Method Bodywork Senior Teacher and is an adjunct faculty member at JFK University. She has maintained a private practice in bodywork and movement for twenty-five years. Her primary focus is to aid people in reducing the stress in their lives by educating them to use their bodies as a guide toward greater ease, vitality, productivity, and kindness.

"I have a deep belief in the wisdom of the body and the rich, heartfelt quality of life that is available to us when we dwell within an enlivened body. There is a power that comes from contacting the self on a visceral level -- a power that leads to an opening of the heart and a return to who we truly are. I facilitate this transformation through movement -- the forgotten language of the soul.”
